The annual Montgomery County Heritage Day festival will be held today on the grounds of the Montgomery Museum on Pepper Street in Christiansburg.
The event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will include vintage craft demonstrations, antique tools, war re-enactors, children’s games, antique engines, vintage fire engines, antique cars, antique tools, horse and buggy rides, and lots more. One of the biggest highlights of the festival again this year will be the homemade brown beans, cornbread and dessert. The Christiansburg Parks and Recreation Department, the Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Department, Montgomery Museum, Lewis Miller Regional Art Center and Cracker Barrel are sponsoring the event. For more information log on to www.montgomerymuseum.org or call (540) 382-5644.

He continues to work and teach, despite being severely disabled by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a degenerative disease that confines him to a wheelchair and forces him to use a voice synthesizer to communicate. What old bet did Hawking loose to fellow scholars in 2004?
