New River Community College will host New Student Day on Wednesday, August 15. Students are encouraged to drop by anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. They may begin at the Information/Registration table in the T. J. Anderson Student Lounge in Martin Hall.

During the course of the day, students will be able to register vehicles, acquire student IDs, find their classrooms, buy books, and obtain information about NRCC’s programs and services.

Peggy Taylor, director of student services at NRCC says, “New Student Day will be a great opportunity for new students to become familiar with our campus. Throughout the day, NRCC staff will be available to assist students. Of course, students are welcome to visit our campus anytime between now and the start of fall semester. However, New Student Day is especially designed to make our new students feel more connected to campus before classes start which, in turn, can help make the transition into NRCC easier.”

Registration for fall semester at New River Community College is currently in progress. Classes will begin on Wednesday, August 22. More information is available from the Admissions Office at 540-674-3603.
