everythingnrv.com has been working on a system where each of our communities will have its own scanner to monitor their local police, fire and rescue.  Our team was the group behind the very first police and rescue, over internet, in Roanoke.  Others have copied that, and other things we branded and brought to this area.  But, as always, we are one step ahead and we think you will like the new alert system we are putting in place.
