Route 685 (Keagy Road) To Close For Three Days In Roanoke County |

Weather permitting, a portion of Route 685 (Keagy Road) in Roanoke County will be closed at 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9 and remain closed through midnight, Sunday, Nov. 11 for utility relocation.
The improvements are necessary in order to replace a gas line that runs under Route 685 (Keagy Road.) The gas line replacement is being done in preparation for future road improvements. During the relocation work, Keagy Road will be closed from the intersection of Route 419 (Electric Road) to the intersection of Route 692 (Sugar Loaf Mountain Road). A signed detour route will be in place to guide motorists in this area. The detour route is as follows: From Electric Road to Keagy Road: Turn left onto Route 686 (Grandin Road Extension), Turn right at Route 692 (Sugar Loaf Mountain Road) and then continue onto Route 685 (Keagy Road.) From Keagy Road to Electric Road: Turn left onto Route 692 (Sugar Loaf Mountain Road), Turn left at Route 686 (Grandin Road Extension) and follow to Electric Road.
