A Floyd man, who was recently charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny, has now been charged in connection with the fatal hit-and-run accident early last Friday morning which killed a Christiansburg man.
Anthony Edward Adams, 47, of Floyd was charged today by the Christiansburg Police Department with failing to stop at a scene of an accident in which a person is injured or killed. Adams, was just charged last Friday by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office with stealing a 2004 Jeep Rubicon from Duncan Jeep-Isuzu late last Thursday, early Friday morning. According to search warrants, that same vehicle, which was later found abandoned on West Main Street near Interstate 81, matched the description of the vehicle that struck the motorcycle being operated by Gregory Maurice Jackson, 22, at around 3:30 a.m. last Friday morning at the intersection of North Franklin and Cambria Streets. Adams is being held at the Montgomery County Jail without bond.
