ICE REMOVAL purposes in Giles, Pulaski, and Montgomery counties during the winter of 2007-2008. Price per hour shall include operators, fuel, tire chains, supplies, and required insurance. VDOT will need dump trucks with or without spreaders, pickups with plows, motor-graders, backhoes, dozers, track loaders, tractors, rubber-tire loaders, and farm tractors. All equipment shall be equipped for night work and be in good mechanical condition to ensure a safe and dependable 24/7 operation.
VDOT reserves the right to determine acceptability of equipment size and condition for the task. Forms for submitting rental rates, which includes contract requirements, may be obtained at the nearest VDOT area headquarters from 7:00-3:00 Monday – Friday, or at the Christiansburg
Residency Office, 105 Cambria Street, Christiansburg VA from 8:15 – 5:00
Monday – Friday.
Bids should be received at the same locations by 3:00PM on Friday, October 5, 2007 to be considered.
